Date of a Life time.

When Theo gets set up on a date he does not realize that it will be his first and his last.

Theodore was sitting in his room listening to some music. Enjoying his room quite a bit . You see his brothers and him just got to pick their own room . For many years Dave would not allow them their own room until they could prove that they could be responsible enough for their each own room . Given that Alvin could do the same. Dave knew that Simon and Theodore could behave them selves and keep their room clean but Alvin had to prove himself all the time, and if Alvin could not do that none of the boys could have their own room , so it took a while. However it finally happened . Alvin, Simon and Theodore had gotten their room all neat and clean Dave was quite impressed with everyone.

It was a Saturday so Theodore had nothing to do but relax he did not have to work or get ready for some concert so once again he was just relaxing. Around eleven o clock Teddy got a call .

“ hay teddy “

“hi Mark”

“so do you think we could get together to night?

'yeah sure why whats up”

“well I am going out to night and I wanted t know if you would be willing to join me. The girl I am going out with to night will not go unless she can bring her girlfriend. So what do you say?”

“well sure why not I have nothing better to do , just like every night. “

Theodore jumped in the shower and got ready. An hour later Mark knocked on the door. Alvin answered.

“hey Alvin where is Theo?”

“upstairs”

Alvin jumped back on the couch to watch some more entertainment news.

Theodore came down stairs “lets go Theo the girls are going to be waiting. “

“wait Theodore is going on a date?” Alvin stated questionably.

“yes Alvin Theodore is going out on a date.” Simon replied coming in from the kitchen with a glass of water.

“this is so not right, he is going out on a date and I am stuck at home?”

“your not stuck at home Alvin. Its more like a voluntary sentence for bad behavior. “

“what did he do? “ mark asked.

“he got caught looking in Brittany millers window.” Simon replied.

“what I just wanted to see if she was home so I could ask her out!” Alvin shouted.

“well that is not how I would ask a girl out besides that is just wrong.” Theodore said.

Theodore and mark walked out the door. Alvin sat back down. 'may be I will give her a call'

Mark pulled in to a drive way across town Theodore got out of the front seat and jumped in to the back seat, while Mark went to the house. Moments later mark came out side with a girl wearing a white shirt black slacks, black shoes. “Theodore this is Clara, now we can pick up your date.”

They finally reached a house that was not to far from the other. The car pulled up to a gray sided house with a red door. Theodore stepped out of the car. Theo looked back at the car with a nervous look . Theodore finally made into the door and rang the door bell.

A women gray haired women came to the front door . “yes?”

“hi I am Theodore I have a date with your daughter”

“which daughter?”

“it's me mom he is my date”

A blonde pig tale girl came from behind the old woman.

“hello” she said politely “I am Eleanor”

“please to meet you”

“have her back by ten pm” the old women said.

“okay” Theodore replied.

Theodore opened the door for his date. Before Ellie stepped in the car Theodore looked her up and down before she continued into the car. Theodore ran around the car and let himself in.

“so where are we going?” Eleanor asked. Mark backed out of the driveway went down the street and then turned the corner Eleanor was thrown into Theodore lap.

“oh my” she said.

“hey Mark watch it I don't need that kind of help”

“sure you don't teddy”.

Eleanor gave Theodore a look and then gave Mark a displeasing look. . All the way to the restaurant Mark kept trying to speed around the corners so that Ellie would end up in Theodore's lap.

They finally made it to the restaurant. Theodore was a complete gentlemen. Theodore walked around the car to just to let Eleanor out .of the car. “oh thank you” she replied.

Everyone walked in with smiles on. “one moment please” the waitress commented. The waitress had on a black pants, a white blouse, red apron. The woman grabbed a few menus and waved them to follow. Once at the table Mark stood to the side allowing his date to sear her self in to the booth, Mark sat next to her. Theodore did the same. The waitress handed them a menu each.

“I think I will take a salad, ranch, water ” Eleanor replied

“ribs, salad, and a glass of tea” mark replied.

“I think a salad will do just fine” mark's date replied.

Theodore sat there looking over the menu. He had an idea of what he wanted but he wanted to impress Ellie. Theodore lowered the menu slightly just enough to look in to Eleanor's eyes. She looks pretty nervous, he thought to him self. Then Theodore thought back to a conversation that he and Alvin had .

“I am telling ya bro girls don't eat much on the first date, they are afraid that you might be disgusted with them if they ear a lot.”

“so what do I do?” Theodore replied.

“make her laugh, then ask her what her favorite fruit is, then before the end of dinner leave the table and order her a desert with that fruit in it.”

Theodore put the menu down “I will have the spaghetti with no meat I swear if you bring me meat in my food I will make you pay for my dinner , then you will sing to my date hopping on one leg doing the hoke poke wearing a dress. And by the way Sam, “ The waiter looked down at the chipmunk, Theodore gestured to the waiter to come closer. Theodore whispered in his ear. ”ah understood sir.”

“what did you say ? “ Ellie asked.

“ I told him that this was my first date with a gorgeous , knock out of a girl whom I wish to impress.”

Theodore stood up “excuse me but I have to use the restroom” he said politely.

“oh Ellie?”

“yes” she said.

“what kind of fruit do you like?”

Ellie sat there for a moment. “strawberries” she replied.

Moments later Theodore returned. With a smile on his face.

The night continued, lots of laughter. Theodore kept everyone laughing. Eleanor most chocked on her water a few times. Theo kept saying I am sorry . Ellie did not mind. In fact during dinner Ellie was thinking of something that her sister told her.

“if you can laugh with him, find him interesting and comfortable with him. Then you should date him.” Brittany replied.

“but what if he asks a question that I don't have an answer to?”

“just be honest and be your self Ellie, if he likes you then he will love you later, don't worry so much you are starting to sound like Jeanette”

Ellie had eaten half her salad. Mark was a mess from the ribs, and Mark's date had finished her salad. Theodore ate about the same amount as Ellie did. A waitress came by and asked if any one wanted more to drink. Everyone replied yes, accept Theodore. Eleanor gave a look to Clara and nudged her.

“oh we will be right back” Eleanor said.

“so ?” Theodore said to Mark.

“ I think she likes you man” Mark replied.

“yeah I think I will ask her out again.

The girls came back with smiles on their faces.

“gossiping about us I see?” Mark asked.

“nope just Theodore “ Clara replied.

It was about nine pm.

“will there be any deserts?” the waitress asked.

Eleanor looked at Theodore with a smile. “yeah” but before she could reply to the waitress question a medium sized cup of ice cream, strawberries, banana, and pecans arrived.

“I- I hope you don't mind” Theodore replied nervously.

“mind? No I don't mind at all, I love this combination!, it's my favorite!” “care to split it with me? I do not want to eat to much” “I am a little nervous” she replied.

“what for “ Theodore replied.

“I am a bit nervous , because I think you are so cute and-” Theodore covered his mouth in shock. “well now that is out” Mark replied. They finished eating the dessert. Theodore excused himself from the table.

“i like him really really like him but, I am just not sure” Eleanor said.

“well there is one thing we did not tell you about Theodore he is kind of-” but mark noticed Theodore was on his way back.

“well the bill is paid” Theodore replied with a smile on his face.. “Theodore! You did not have to pay the bill you know” Mark replied annoyed.

Everyone got up from the table and headed for the car. Mark drove Clara home , then drove Eleanor home as well. Theodore got out of the car to walk her to the door.

“Ellie I ah” Theodore started to rub the back of his neck.

I”I wanted to know if you would be willing to go on another date?”

Eleanor stood there, an awkward silence began to take notice of the situation. She put her arms around Theodore and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “see you later Theodore” Eleanor giggled as she went in to the house.. Theodore stood there in shock.. Right then and there Theodore knew, he was not sure how but he knew. Theodore turned the corner “I am going to marry the girl some day.” He paused at the back bate and thought to him self where did that come from? But he continued on to the car. That night Theodore slept so contently nothing could get to him not even his brother Alvin.

“so?” a question came from his bedroom door as Theodore was changing for bed.

“she is perfect Simon, it's like she was made for me”

“good night Theodore” Simon replied with a big grin on his face.

“good night” Theodore fell asleep, with pleasant happy thoughts of Ellie running through his mind. Minutes later Dave, Simon and Alvin peeked through the bedroom door.

“humm Ellie you smell like roses” Theodore smiled as he completely fell asleep.
